OPERATIONAL ASSISTANCE: The CBE provides entrepreneurs a complimentary co-work space equipped with computers, printers, and other office equipment. The professional office setting allows individuals the perfect opportunity to write business proposals, complete grant applications, or design marketing tools. The CBE also provides complimentary meeting space where business owners can meet investors and job seekers.
SOCIAL ASSISTANCE: The CBE sponsors multiple networking events and facilitates numerous mentoring workshops for minority entrepreneurs. Each encounter is designed to foster alliances and education between seasoned business leaders and promising business owners new to the local community or business world.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The CBE manages the Cen-Tex Minority Business Equity Fund, a program created by the Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce and a Business Advisory Committee comprised of community business members and leaders. The purpose of the Fund Program is to provide short-term, immediate aid/relief to local minority small business owners facing income loss or rising expenses due to circumstances caused by natural disasters, illness, global pandemics, or any situation that disrupts their economic and social well-being. Any McLennan County based, minority owned small business with ten (10) employees or less is eligible to apply for assistance. Grants/loans may be awarded up to $2500 dependent on resources.
